Run Joe is an old calypso song, done in ska originally by Stranger Cole c.1964.

Pleasantly surprised to see this old Louis Jordan gem getting so much attention. The original by Louis Jordan & his Tympany 5 was # 1 on the US R&B charts for FOUR MONTHS in 1948, and even reached # 23 on the Hot 100.
Jordan scored around FIFTY R&B hits between 1942 and 1950, and is best known for tracks including Choo Choo Ch'Boogie, Saturday Night Fish Fry, Caldonia etc etc etc..
