Chat Box

A live chat box has been activated at the bottom of the screen for those members who wish to chat with others without the need to send private messages.

Why can't we view the archives anymore?

I haven't tried this yet. Does it work like facebook?

If there's actually anyone in there to have a conversation with.

I think it's quite good to have the archives there, then 'we' can get to learn about the other forum members, rather than general chit-chat in a thread, gives 'us' more of an idea on where people come from etc.....

remember, Tracy, that's what we used to like about the old forum, the general chitchat and learning about the other fans
(not that there was a chatbox, but the 'random talk thread' was always good to read )

This does parallel a comment on another forum to which I contribute - that to some, 'freedom of speech' is a fine principle as long as all agree with what is being said

Moaning again you lot? You were moaning in the chatbox the other night. Whats the big deal with the archives? Ive used the chat box and I really dont care if theres archives to read or not. It just seems like you don't like red and are just trying to ruin the forum. No wonder no one elses not posting.

what were we moaning about in the chatbox, smith? did you see what tracy put in the chatbox the other night, if not, I'm more than happy to send you a copy

especially as she was being unpleasant about genuine long standing fans (calling them names) who have done her no harm at all.

See what I mean? Who gives a s**t who said what. People just want to log in and read Dualers news or have a chat not read you moaning about red/tracy.

lol, well, it would just be nice to have some answers to my genuine questions, after all, an admiinistrator should be able to answer simple questions which a forum member asks, and not ignored, like she said she did.

Plus it's not good for an administrator to voice their views to members of other members, especially as the 'new' members are being brainwashed before giving the 'old' members a chance.

If you actually read back on all my posts, you will see that I have, in no way insultted Tracy, i have only asked genuine questions.

Any 'beef' she has with me, I have no idea, I have asked her numerous times, why she has all of a sudden turned against me, but she does not reply and ignores it.

For god sake I give up. You cant even reply to me without going on about it. Nobody else cares. What you keep writing just brings the forum down. Im off now. Dunno if Ill be back.

incidentally, I can't see anywhere that i have moaned about tracy, other than the above post, of which you brought the subject up
and basically, if one doesn't want to read it then one doesn't have to, that's part of the reason for having names to topics

Which is exaclty why people stopped posting in the last forum because of the way she spoke to them.

Why hasn't the last archive conversation been deleted?
